In Love with the Luna Rose Bracelet

April showers bring May flowers, and Island Cove has launched a new jewelry-making class to celebrate spring 2017. Introducing the Luna Rose design by Starman Trendsetter Carole Ohl. It's a pretty floral-themed beading pattern that can be adapted to create a bracelet, necklace, or earrings.

Create Petals with Crescent Beads

Unique 2-holed crescent beads make up the overlapping petals of each rosebud in this design. And Island Cove has just added eight beautiful shades of these CzechMates crescent beads to their assortment, including ruby red, lilac, and light pink.

Marti Timmons, the Luna Rose class instructor at Island Cove, really enjoys working with the crescent beads. "This bracelet pattern is very feminine, which is style switch for me, and I really like that."

Extending the Luna Rose pattern

Another way to take advantage of the Luna Rose pattern once you've learned the stitch is to create a pair of matching rose-shaped earrings. "Since the roses are created in stations, making earrings is really easy and fun. Many of my students like to create them too," Marti explains.
