Beading Resolutions & New 2019 Color of the Year: Living Coral

Pantone's 2019 Color of the Year: Living Coral

Pantone 2019 color of the year living coral

Each December the Pantone Color Institute announces a signature color for the upcoming year. It's the result of their team's research across the globe and across industries including fashion, home, and product design. They "comb the world looking for new color influences," and for 2019, they chose an energizing hue called  "Living Coral."

Corals are known for their beautiful shapes and colors in ocean reef communities. Pantone's Living Coral is "evocative of how coral reefs provide shelter to a diverse kaleidoscope of color."

Island Cove sells a selection of genuine coral beads (shown in the photo above) in shades ranging from red, pink, coral, cream, and even light purple. A few of our artists integrate coral into their designs too, which you can check out in our gift gallery. Plus, shop our collection of glass beads, gemstones, charms, and cabochons in this pretty coral hue.
