Jewelry & Color Trends for Spring 2021

 Color Trends - Spring 2021

According to Pantone Color Institute experts, the colors for Spring/Summer 2021 "emphasize our desire for a range of color that inspires ingenuity and inventiveness – colors whose versatility transcend the seasons and allow for more freedom of choice." At Island Cove, we absolutely love the brights! Some of these are almost neon-bright but many have a cool, crisp feel too. Stop by the shop this month to sink your hands into these colorful beads!

 Jewelry Trends - Spring 2021

Beyond just color trends, we've uncovered three jewelry styles that seem to be hot for Spring 2021 too. They inspire us for what types of jewelry we could design to accessorize our look next year. And just as the colors above are big and bold, these looks can't be ignored!

bulbous beads

  • Chunky or "bulbous" beads are projected to be very popular next spring, with designers integrating these statement-making beads into their boldest designs. Invest in a few of these beauties to really make your next piece "pop" off a white t-shirt or simple solid-color dress or top. Island Cove's assortment of gemstones, recycled glass, and artisan lampwork beads is sure to please.

chunky chains

  • Some years jewelry tends to be more feminine or dainty, but 2021 is all about chunky chains with lots of metallic flash. Island Cove sells chain by the foot, but you can also make your own chain maille bracelets or necklaces with a variety of metal colors. Check out our kits here.

pearls trend

  • Pearl jewelry seems to always be popular on the beach, but has emerged once again as a top trend nationwide for spring 2021. Island Cove carries freshwater pearls in a variety of sizes, shapes, and hues, plus Swarovski crystal pearls. This month we're teaching the Grace Kelly netted bracelet class, which uses the glamorous faux pearls.
