Inspired Style - DIY drop earrings

One of the hottest looks in earrings the past few seasons are dramatic drops, like those on sale at trend-setting retailer Anthropologie.

This pair, priced at over $300, was handmade in Greece by designer Katerina Psoma and is fashioned from 18K gold, resin, and glass. Gorgeous, no doubt...but they might not fit your fall accessory budget. Instead, consider creating your own special pair at Island Cove Beads & Gallery.

The pretty drop earrings shown below were fashioned with drop beads you can purchase at Island Cove. The top portion, rounded disc shapes, are the Athena pattern by D. Roberti - a great stitched pattern to learn because you can create both earrings and bracelets.

Making your own drop earrings, versus buying a pair, offers the chance to customize the look to your preferences. For instance, do you prefer gold, silver, bronze, or copper metal? What color palette or fashion are you hoping to match?

Ready to make a pair? Grab a friend, check your calendar, and choose a few dates that would work for you. Then, give Colleen or Sue a ring at 727-510-1657 to book a class that works for your schedule.
